An Organization Dedicated to Rescuing Homeless Dogs
Finding a Best Friend Rescue is a core group of dedicated volunteers with more than 10 years of experience in dog rescue in the Central Valley but based in Stockton area. Good Samaritans who find stray, abandoned, and neglected dogs turn to us to ensure that the four-legged buddy they rescued will be adopted into a caring home. FABF makes every effort to reunite lost dogs with their owners before placing up for adoption.
Our mission is to rescue the abused, neglected, abandoned, and stray animals and put them into homes with all the love stability and structure that they need and deserve. We want to give them another chance to enjoy life. Some people feel these animals are damaged goods, broken spirits, and beyond repair. However, it is our mission to rehabilitate these animals and prove their potential. Our goal is to educate the public about being responsible pet owners as well as the importance of spaying and neutering in reducing animal overpopulation. We also aim to help bring awareness about animal cruelty. Our philosophy is to pay it forward (Paws It On) for these animals that have no hope left.
We look forward to the day that we can make a significant difference in our community, so the overpopulation and euthanasia no longer exist.
Our organization provides rescue and rehabilitation care to abandon and abused animals in the Central Valley.
Why Regina Started the Rescue
Facing today’s challenges requires problem solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Finding a Best Friend Rescue emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community and a desire for performing actions that speak louder than words. Established in 2000, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold solutions to problems, and a strong foundation of support.Finding a Best Friend Rescue is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. This means that we don’t have a shelter, and we rely on foster homes to provide our rescues with warm, loving home environments until they can be adopted by permanent families. If we don’t take action, who will? With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for ending animal cruelty. Homeless outreach is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working hard every day to make a positive impact. Many homeless insist that “their animal companion is their best friend and oxygen, without whom life wouldn’t be worth living.” What pets need most is human companionship, they don’t need a house.
Food Donation Drop-Off
Food donation drop-off is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area with your help for our many fosters and rescues. At Finding a Best Friend Rescue, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing low-income needs and how homeless community depend on donations. We always strive to create a positive impact on our society, and we encourage you to take part in our cause by learning more about our initiatives and offering your support.
Give Back to the Community and the Homeless
The Gospel Center Rescue Mission provides services to people in need of housing, food, and clothing for two years. We have partnered with them to take in the animals to offer health care to re-home them or put them in a loving foster care program for two years.
